Safe to swim at Raglan

Land Air Water Aotearoa (LAWA) is showing that it is safe to swim at Raglan beaches. The two sampling points, Raglan Harbour Motor Camp and Ngarunui Beach Raglan Surf Life Saving Club both have a green safe status of ‘suitable for swimming’. Sampling was last done on 10 November.

LAWA says that Ngarunui Beach in Raglan is a popular surfing beach 46km west of Hamilton. The nearby Harbour and surrounding land offer opportunities for kayaking, kite boarding, fishing, tramping, horse-trekking and walking. And that Raglan harbour and surrounding land offer opportunities for kayaking, kite boarding, fishing, tramping, horse-trekking and walking. Water quality is monitored at both Raglan sites from November through March
