Waikato District Council news
Due to the effects the Covid-19 lockdown has had on many of us, Waikato District Council have extended the discount period from 20 July 2020 to 18 September 2020. This means you have longer to pay your dog registration at the discounted rate.
To help keep dogs safe and enable us to reunite lost dogs with owners, all dogs are required by law to be microchip and register with their local council from the month that the dog turns three months old, or arrives in New Zealand.
To apply, your pet needs to be microchipped and the microchip number must be included on your application form.
What you need to complete the application form:
- Dog details
- Previous registration details
- Microchip number
- Desexing certificate.
