On the 1st July, Raglan Ramblers will be journeying to Kakepuku, the 449 metre former volcano rising from the plain near Te Awamutu to the lookout tower shown in the photo. Kakepuku is in a line of volcanoes with Karioi and Pirongia. There is now a well formed track, which passes through this waharoa. Please bring your lunch.
