While some Raglan cafes and retailers reopened on Thursday 14th, the first day of the Covid-19 Alert Level 2, others have put off reopening for a day or so. Bow Street is still fairly quiet.
First to get going for Level 2 was the pod of Orca who visit Whaingaroa Harbour from time-to-time. On this visit at about 8am they made it up to Lorenzen Bay before heading back to the Tasman Sea.
The restaurant named after the Orca was also an early starter opening at 9am. We visited for dinner and enjoyed a night out. Great to have their beautiful meals and friendly staff available again.
Also at the harbour end of Bow St, the butcher, barber and Herbal Dispensary have reopened. On Bow Street, the library remains closed along with Trade Aid Whaingaroa and Lifted. In the Bow Street food zone, Isobar and the takaeway shops are open. Some shops and cafes say they will reopen on Friday or next week.
