Doors open 7pm for 7.30 start

Andrew White is a troubadour. He is one of those rare artists who can skillfully combine brilliant finger-style guitar work with a compelling story in lyric and deliver them both in an engaging live performance.

Andrew started his career busking on the streets of Auckland. In 1984 he released his debut, self-produced album Conversations, a collection of introspective acoustic guitar tunes recorded with a minimalistic production approach. He has a new studio album due to be released. Check out his latest single at andrewwhitesongs.com.

Be prepared for some awe-inspiring guitar, heart wrenching melodies and stories of travel, love and adventure.

White is one of those few blessed individuals who combines international-class finger-style guitar playing with great vocals and superb song-writing.’ – Ian Melrose (Clannad)

‘Beautifully constructed guitar compositions that will not only inspire other musicians but also embrace the general listener in a warm glow…an aural palate you would associate with a Van Gogh.’- Fyfe on Folk, UK

‘Whether picking out a dainty traditional melody, tearing into a dirty blues workout, or artfully backing his tautly worded songs, his playing is continually embellished with layers of complementing nuance, both harmonic and textural, his singing is reminiscent of Sting at his darkly evocative best, only with a slightly hoarser, dustier edge.’ – The Scotsman UK
