A crowd of over forty people gathered outside the old Raglan Museum for a blessing prior to demolition of the old museum and commencement of construction of the new building. Ngati Mahanga Kaumatua Sunna Thompson made the blessing asking for the waters to be calm.
Livingston Construction said that demolition of the old building would commence on the 15th October.
