WEL Networks news
The public can now keep up-to-date with the latest from WEL Networks with the recent launch of the company’s Facebook page.
The page www.facebook.com/WELNetworks/ went live last week and will act as a channel for general news from the organisation, including media releases, project updates, recruitment opportunities and emergency events such as storms and major outages.
Communications Manager Erin Rangi-Watt said the page would provide a new avenue for the company to interact with its stakeholders.
“The Facebook page is an exciting new way for us to connect with our communities in a more informal environment. We’re hoping it will help to expand the reach of our messages while also tapping into a wider demographic.”
Erin said the move to Facebook was seen as a necessity in improving engagement.
“Many people use online platforms such as Facebook as a primary information source and we realised this was an area we needed to expand in. The Facebook page will complement our current LinkedIn page and help us to engage with a wider audience.”
Erin encouraged people to head online and ‘like’ the page to receive regular updates from WEL.
