Friday 3pm – 5pm registration at the Town Hall Supper Room
Complimentary entrants tickets will be handed out
Description of design discussed
Garments hung in sections area in Supper Room
Designers/ models will have access to the catwalk to try out their prepared choreography (get rehearsing now!) and may ask for assistance.
A ‘run sheet’ will be given out with to contestants with call times for dress rehearsal and shows.
The music and lighting will be provided by our DJ and technicians to suit each section (personal music is not needed)
Saturday 10am dress rehearsal Jean Carbon will welcome all entrants and explain the schedule.
JUDGING CRITERIA:
WOW Factor – this is huge, you want your design to have a stage presence, make an impact and be memorable
Workmanship – quality crafting goes a long way and the judges will scrutinise all entries close up, not just on the stage
Recycled Value – the more ‘re-purposed’ items in your garment the better in all sections
Section Relevance – make your design ‘fit the brief’ in its design and description
The judging takes place during and after the 2pm show when costumes with submitted briefs and drawings/ photographs will be looked at by the judges backstage.
PEOPLE’S CHOICE:
Is voted on by the 2pm Saturday audience.
Prizes will be awarded by the sponsors at the completion of the Saturday 7pm show (for the adult awards) and the Sunday 2pm show (for the children’s and Youth awards).

Adult and Children’s have excellent prizes so strut your stuff, and really model your garment as you are an integral part of it and remember to pose for the judges and smile.
Hair and makeup are a part of your design, think about it now and go big! (Look back at previous winners for inspiration).
Each show is a performance, people have paid to see you and your amazing design.
Raglan Art to Wear is run by volunteers with community support in the way of funding and sponsored prizes.
We do this because we love it and we want to foster this creative enthusiasm in all ages and abilities.
