On the 11th April, Raglan Ramblers will be revisiting the Hillary Hope Reserve. They will be walking on new bridges and tracks that make it easier to explore the reserve. The Ramblers are keen to see how this remnant of native bush, between Old Mountain Rd and State Highway 23, has responded to protection as a reserve since its opening in 2015. Please bring your lunch.
Walks usually start 9 am, Wednesdays from Wainui Rd car park (next to Raglan Fire Station). There is no membership – the only cost is 10 cents per km to share travel costs. Details from John 825 7866. Check out Raglan Ramblers on Facebook-https://www.facebook.com/RaglanRamblers/ .
Each “Rambler” accepts responsibility for any accident or injury received while travelling, or walking over private property. Be prepared – carry enough food, clothing, first aid kit for emergencies and preferably a mobile phone.
