Robert of Raglan on prostate cancer

November is the awareness month for men’s health and prostate cancer with the month rebranded as Movember to highlight the moustache growing competition held by the Movember New Zealand Foundation.

Robert Currie, aka Robert of Raglan, has his own message for the month:

Morning to you Raglan.
Yes..it is Prostate Awareness Month so guys and ladies it just might be time to have a check up. Just a simple blood test could save your life.
During March 2005 i did just that and BANG..CANCER.
Off to MELBOURNE for 9 weeks of treatment (bracky) it is now here in NZ.
And they killed it so here i am 12 years later enjoying life and being here to be with my growing family.LUCKY?? NO.
I got checked out early and it saved my life.
So just a simple blood test did the trick.
Sorry to post this but if it saves just one person it”s all worth it.
So always expect the unexpected in life.
It IS SO EASY TO SAY NA IT WONT HAPPEN TO ME!!!
So thanks for taking time out to consider this precaution.
Cheers and enjoy life every day.Thank you all.xx
