Waikato District Council says that as at 6pm on Friday 27th October it is warning motorists to be extremely careful on the roads this weekend (27-29 Oct).
Several roads still have surface flooding. Council teams are working on it but if you are aware of any slips or flooding, please let us know by phoning 0800 492 452.
There is surface flooding in the following areas but the roads are still open:
* Waingaro Road, about three kilometres past Rotowaro Road intersection
* Riverview Road, Huntly
* Some parts of Highway 22
* Hakarimata Road, Ngāruawāhia, between 400-760 Hakarimata Road
* Highway 22 at Waingaro school
* Ohautira and Putawa Road
Also Hakarimata Road, Ngaruawahia, between 400-760 is down to one lane.
The only road still closed is Rotowaro Road from Gully Road to Waikokowhai Road.
