On the 24th May, Raglan Ramblers will be visiting St Albans near the Waingaro River.  St Alban’s Church is a fine example of the simple Gothic Revival Church erected throughout Victorian and Edwardian New Zealand. A pleasing, refined design both within and out, built in 1907, it is also sited in a most picturesque setting which enhances its appeal. Ramblers say this is a short interesting and pretty walk following the river, then climbing through the moss covered bush.

Walks usually start 9am, Wednesdays from Wainui Rd car park (next to Raglan Fire Station). There is no membership – the only cost is 10 cents per km to share travel costs. Details from John 825 7866. Check out Raglan Ramblers on Facebook

Each “Rambler” accepts responsibility for any accident or injury received while travelling, or walking over private property. Be prepared – carry enough food, clothing, first aid kit for emergencies and preferably a mobile phone.
