Raglan property prices surge up the most

A NZ Herald report into property price changes in the Herald’s top half of the North Island circulation region found amazing differences.   While many property price changes had decreased by as much as 12.9% over the last quarter, prices in Raglan had increased by an amazing 7.3% over the last quarter.  This is the highest increase for any area covered by the Herald survey and contrasts with a flat market in nearby Hamilton.

The Herald analysis used information from Quotable Value’s E-Valuer. The analysis is based on raw averages and does not take into account, changes in the types of properties being purchased.  So if fewer lower value properties are being traded in the small Raglan market, then the increase may not reflect the true market position.
