Cones gone – Chooks back

Smooth main road with cones gone at last- Norm's chooks lower right

While the Council roadworks were underway on Main Road, Raglan, Norm’s chooks were notable by their absence.   Now this late project has been completed.   The berms have new topsoil and grass seed has been planted.  While the chooks were absent, the only colour on the road came from the bright orange warning cones.   Now that the cones are gone traffic can once again flow unimpeded except for the chooks.  If you are driving into Raglan and you see the chooks, slow down – they usually stay on the verge but sometimes they stray onto the road.  And sometimes Norm has a few spare eggs for sale.

Well done Council – another section of road coming into Raglan has been improved with services underground and safe footpaths.
