An exhibition of Cuban and Kiwi Eco Posters opened on Friday night at Raglan Old School Art Centre’s community gallery. The posters are on display till the 9th January. The gallery is open on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10am to 2pm.
Following the exhibition opening West Coast Jazz added to the evening with a performance of classic and modern jazz in the Old School’s Theatre Room.
The posters contrast the environmental themes that are top of mind in Cuba and New Zealand. They were designed by students of the Instituto Superior de Diseño in Havana, Cuba and Mediarts students from the Waikato Institute of Technology in Hamilton.
Arranged by Raglander Xavier Meade, the joint exhibition of 20 posters (10 cuban posters and 10 NZ posters) were exhibited earlier in 2015 in Havana, Cuba and at Wintec in Hamilton, New Zealand.
