Council offers prize draw to encourage dog registrations

It’s that time of the year when you need to register your dog. If you pay for your dog registration before 20 July you’ll receive a discounted fee!

To encourage people to do it online the Waikato District Council is offering a prize draw to Raglan and other Waikato dog owners encourage dog registrations. If you pay online before 20 July you’ll go in a draw with opportunity to win a $250 prize pack, including a year’s free registration.

The Council says it’s important to register your dog every year as part of being a responsible dog owner.

If you’re new to dog ownership in Raglan or have recently got a new dog, complete the Application to register your dog and email it back to WDC or drop it in at the Raglan Office.

The WDC you can read their FAQ’s to learn more about what a registration pays for and when you need to get one.

If you’re a registered dog owner you should have received your renewal notice in the mail, along with information about changes to the Dog Control Policy and Bylaw and an easy guide to paying your registration fee online.

If you didn’t receive your reminder notice send WDC an email to let the WDC know.
