See story about theft of Nazi flag from exhibition. Raglan people took part in the ANZAC campaigns.  A new exhibition opening on Tuesday 20th April tells their story and also covers what it was like for the residents of the small town during the wars.

The exhibition includes many items from the Museum’s archives which due to the small size of the museum building can not normally be on display.   These include two enemy flags captured by Raglan troops during the Second World War.  Many of the historic military photos from the archives have been enlarged and are on display for the first time.  In addition a number of Raglan residents have lent personal and family items for the duration of the exhibition.   As usual there is an element of mystery to the exhibition.  Local resident, Stuart Shepherd dug up a collection of medals in his veggie garden a few years ago.  It is not known where these came from or how they got there.
