There were a number of burglaries all over town in the week prior to 17th December- Lily Street, Daisy Street, Wainui Road near Wainui Reserve. Vehicles and houses are being targetted with property being taken from both in some cases.
For the immediate week prior to 22nd December there is nothing much to report. We have positive lines of enquiry to follow up with regard to the thefts from cars on Wainui Road last week, which may also be connected to other thefts within the township.
Just a reminder of the area-wide liquor ban from 23 December to 6 January.
