Raglan St John Ambulance and Volunteer Fire Fighters attended a crash south-east of Raglan, near the Matapihi Kindergarten (390 Te Mata Rd), west of Te Mata at 9.45pm on Sunday night (12.10.14). The van was the only vehicle involved. The driver escaped from the van after it crashed, landing upside down on Te Mata Road. He was taken to Waikato Hospital.
“A van had gone off the road and the driver has walked to the top of the hill as there was no cell-phone reception,” said Northern Fire Communications shift manager Jarron Philips.
