The Raglan & District Museum will be opened an exhibition of stone sculpture by two Raglan sculptors at 6.30pm on 10 May 2014 at the museum in Wainui Road, Raglan.
The two are Richard Page and Gene Pospisil. All are well known and highly regarded for their work. Richard Page finished a traditional apprenticeship in the mid 1990s and since then has completed various international commissions including those for the Taiwan and the Hong Kong railway stations, along with The Gate, a public commission for Te Awamutu township.
Most recently Tai and Richard completed the two large commissioned works that adorn the entrance to the Raglan Kopua Holiday Park. Gene Pospisil completed an apprenticeship in silversmithing and jewellery design and manufacture in 2007. In his final year and since then his work has concentrated on stone sculpture of an increasing size.
The exhibition will be on display at the museum (15 Wainui Rd, Raglan) from 10 May until 31 July. Entarnce via the i-SITE. Musuem entry Adults $2, Children $1.
