Kiwibank has advised its Raglan customers to go to Te Rapa, Dinsdale or Frankton from the 17th February. In a letter sent to customers at the end January, Kiwibank’s GM Personal Markets, Mr Mark Wilkshire, has told customers that Raglan services will be cut back to just making deposits or withdrawals and paying bills.
For opening accounts, changing or creating automatic payments Mr Wilkshire told Raglan Kiwibank customers that they will have to drive over the hill to a Kiwibank branch in Te Rapa, Dinsdale or Frankton. Much of the letter was marketing spin with the cut backs called ‘Changes to the services we offer’ and promoting the bank’s phone, internet and Smartphone banking.
The reason for the change is given that the bank has raised its, ‘compliance with seismic codes’ and the safety of customers and staff. Kiwibank will be moving to the Raglan SuperValue at 18 Bow St on the 17th February. I wonder if Mr Ratcliffe has ever seen any footage of what happens in a supermarket under seismic conditions when typically bottles and objects shake off shelves and break!
