Raglan’s heritage bakery building at 2 Bow St is getting a makeover ready for a new tenant. Until recently the building was the home of Costas Pizzeria. That business closed in November and some major renovation work is now underway on the building. Word on the street is that a tapas bar will be opening there soon.

Pizzas are still available in Raglan from Harbour View Hotel and Valente’s, Mauro’s in Raglan West plus the two bakehouses.

Built in 1902, it was for many years, Bernard’s bakery and tearooms. Later it was a second-hand shop and then home to Costa’s Pizzeria, the Maori Wardens and the Show Off gallery.
