Classics converge on Raglan

Classic cars from all over New Zealand have started converging on Raglan for Sunday’s Classic Car and Rock’nRoll Festival.  The event in Bow St Raglan will run from 9am to 3pm.  The Festival gets under way with a breakfast session for entrants.  And during the day a variety of stalls will be operating in Bow St.

Entertainment will be provided by the bands Al Dawson & The Wildkatz and The Famous Fish which be playing throughout the day.  And for the kids there is free face painting.  For people and cars arriving tonight, there will be a drive-in movie session starting at 9pm at the soccer ground, Kopua Domain.  Movies screening are Night at the Museum 2 and Battle of the Smithsonian!

The Classic Car and Rock n Roll Festival is being held to raise funds for the Raglan Plunket and Trust Waikato Raglan Surf Life Saving.  For information about the festival phone Linda Cole on 07 8257363.
