NOTE: This post is obsolete and here for historical use only. Costas has been replaced by The Bow Street Depot which is a tapas restaurant. Vinnies has been replaced by Valente’s which still serves great pizzas. And the Raglan Roast Food Department in Raglan West makes great pizzas.

Pizzas are a favourite in Raglan, especially with surfers. For many years, Vinnies was the only place in town you could buy a pizza. Then a few years ago, Costa’s opened up, first with home delivery service and then as a pizzeria in the old heritage bakery building at 2 Bow St. And then a few months ago the Harbour View Hotel started offering stone baked gourmet pizzas.
So our Autumn 2013 poll asked about the tastiest pizzas in Raglan. NOTE COSTAS CLOSED NOV 2013 and may reopen as some other type of food outlet)And the winner was Costa’s Licensed Pizzeria on 45%. Close behind was Vinnies on 34% and the Habour View Hotel on 21%. Fifty Three website visitors voted in the poll. So congratulations to Costa’s Pizzeria and thank you to everybody who voted.
Recently the for sale sign has gone up at Costa’s, so as well as pizzas you can also buy the pizzeria.
