On Wednesday 16th January, Raglan Ramblers are off to the Paritata Peninsula in the centre of Raglan’s inner harbour (You’ll need to bring your lunch and the boat fare). The best views of the harbour are from the centre of it on this 10km walk at the end of the peninsula. The Ramblers will look at the remains of an old minesweeper and also the isthmus where only 50 metres separates the arms of the harbour.
Walks usually start 9am Wednesdays from Wainui Rd car park (next to Raglan Fire Station). There is no membership – the only cost is 10 cents per km to share travel costs. Details from John 825 7866. Check out Raglan Ramblers on Facebook
