On Wednesday 18th August,  Raglan Ramblers will be going east across the country to Karangahake Gorge, just west of Waihi.  The trip is almost 2 hours to drive.  There is an old railway tunnel to walk through (without the 1956 train shown in the DoC leaflet), a rushing river and remains of gold mining.  You’ll need to bring your lunch for this one.

All walks start 9am Wednesdays from Wainui Rd car park (next to Raglan Fire Station).  There is no membership – the only cost is 10 cents per km to share travel costs.  Details from John 825 7866.   Check out Raglan Ramblers on Facebook
