Raglan wastewater contracts won by Brian Perry Civil

The $600,000 contract to relocate the Lorenzen Bay wastewater pump has been awarded to Brian Perry Civil by Waikato District Council.  Concerned local residents have been asking the Council for some time to move the pump away from the foreshore due to the occasional problems that had been noticed.  The new location will be in the grass verge at the end of Lorenzen Bay Rd.  Brian Perry Civil have won other water projects to upgrade the East St Sewer Pump  and  to renew the watermain in Lorenzen Bay Rd.  It is expected that this entire project will take 3 months to be completed.

Another WDC contract announced this week was for the next stage of the Raglan water meter project.  This stage sees manifolds fitted inside the blue boxes that were installed in 2011.  The $320,000 water meter contract was won by HEB Construction Ltd. It is expected that this work will take 20 weeks to be completed.

  1. Hi Rodger to clarify the announcement on the water meter contract, this is the planned Stage 2 and involves the fitting of manifolds and the blue boxes to the remaining properties not completed during Stage 1. No further work is proposed on Stage 1 properties till the WEL Network smart meters are completed and all of Stage 2 manifolds fitted. This will be in 2013/2014.

    Regards Richard
