Raglan is sunny without rain, but windy on Saturday morning as strong winds blow in from the North West.   Even normally sheltered Lorenzen Bay was buffeted by winds as our photo of an upturned moored catamaran shows.

State Highway 23 from Hamilton to Raglan is open with only a few tree branches down along the sides of the road.

The Met Service reports a phenomenal sea in the south, which is easing. A Northwest swell is predicted rising to 5 metres for a time and a Southwest swell rising to 4 metres.  Conditions are expected to ease on Sunday morning.
