The Clay Fiesta is in full swing today Saturday 18th and tomorrow Sunday 19th at the Old School Arts Centre in Stewart St, Raglan. Featuring an exhibition by some of Raglan’s leading potters, it also includes a “Have a go” activity in the Clay Shed. For $5 people were lining up this morning to decorate a clay tile by carving or with a glaze. The tiles will become part of a permanent art installation outside the Clay Shed.
An on-site cafe has delicious Mexican style food with sweetcorn, nachos, beans and salads as well as cakes and slices.
While the Fiesta ends on Sunday (10am to 3pm), the exhibition runs in the Gallery till 24 February.
