Raglan Artist Open Studio Weekend:

Auckland Anniversary weekend
January 28th, 29th & 30th 2012
Studios open 10.00am – 4.00pm

Anniversary weekend is an ideal time to explore the wide variety of art forms in Raglan Whaingaroa.  You can meet your favourite artists or discover new ones in their own studios  in the  three-day Open Studio Weekend over Auckland Anniversary weekend (January 28th – 30th 2012), where the artists open up their studios to the public.   All of the open studios are included within the Raglan Art Trail Guide along with maps of Raglan and its surrounding area.  These show the locations of the various artists involved in this event, making it easy to plan your visits for each day.   The well produced, quality guide is a handy size to keep with you while exploring Raglan and the wider Whaingaroa area. It provides details of 38 artists working in a range of media from painting, sculpture and photography to bone carving, mosaics and wearable art.

The artists will have a range of their work on display and available for purchase, and will be happy to discuss their thoughts and processes with you.

Copies of the Guide can be found at the Raglan i-Site in Wainui Road, the Raglan Old School Arts Centre in Stewart Street, at Raglan cafés and galleries and at many other outlets throughout the Waikato and Auckland areas. You can also check on upcoming events and access the Guide on-line via the Raglan Old School Arts Centre website.  To download and print your own copy of the brochure in Acrobat PDF format Click Here For Medium Quality Download (2MB)  or Click Here For Higher Quality Size Download (6MB)

Outside of this weekend, artists can be contacted directly to arrange a visit – you can find their contact details under their listing in the Art Trail Guide.

Also within the Guide are details of galleries and designer stores, accommodation, cafés and a range of alternative activities that would suit all the family – making Raglan an ideal destination for a weekend or holiday, or even just for a day visit!
