Kids between 8-12yrs are invited to participate in the ‘Nautical exhibition’ to come hang with artists in the gallery space, each kid will take home a Softie and Underwater collage.
Held at the Old School Arts Centre, Stewart Street, Raglan, October 22nd Saturday 10 – 2pm $12 per child (we ask that each child comes with a packed lunch)
For growing young artists to gain skills and confidence in art, learning an array of artistic techniques.
Artists will be teaching children to sew and glue felt softies, decorate with buttons, lace and decorative fabric, nautical shapes such as starfish, octopuses, shells and various sea creatures.
They will also make underwater mixed media, pictures made from cutting out pictures from books relevant to the nautical theme to make collage and using different fabric’s to make texture also using, paint, buttons, shells, googlie eyes and so on to decorate.
