Raglan Lions and the Raglan Operational Support Unit are starting a new project so that Raglan has a “Lions Community Youth Van”, available for sports and youth groups to provide transport over the hill to junior netball, soccer and rugby games and the like. The two groups say that this is not a short-term project and will take sometime to achieve. To kick-start the new project the pirates are coming to Raglan.
Raglan Lions and the Raglan Operational Support Unit are hosting the PIRATES to Raglan on Saturdays the 6th and Sunday the 7th of August 2011. This will kick-start the project by collecting funds on their way from Waiau Pa, Waiuhu, Pukekohe, Huntly, RAGLAN, Port Waikato, Mercer and Drury which will go to supporting needy Children in these communities.
What will happen in Raglan? Pirate Vehicles will travel around the community collecting Gold coins, Fire Engines will do what Fire Engines do, get dressed up as Pirates in Fancy Dress, Follow the Fun Water Battles, and Crazy Fun for all of the Raglan Community.
