After being labeled as a ‘Park’ for a brief period, Meridian Energy’s large scale civil engineering project at Te Uku, has now been relabeled as a ‘Farm’. The confusing ‘Park’ label had been luring tourists up into the construction area, driving around looking for a park. An orange sticker saying, ‘Farm’ has now been pasted on the warning sign, so the sign now reads, ‘Te Uku Wind Farm’. Good to see a little commonsense prevailing, although it would be better still if the sign said, ‘Construction Site’.
